The number of new home completions increased by 15.5% in the first two months of 2016, according to recent data published by the Ministry of Public Works. A total of 7,326 new homes were completed during January and February, 984 more than the same time the previous year.

Property valuation firm, Tinsa released its latest monthly market bulletin this week and things are looking positive on the property market front. There are a number of factors working together ensuring growth within Spain’s property market continues in 2016;
Foreign buyers accounted for nearly 20% of all Spanish residential property purchases in 2015, with 20.5% buying property in Andalucia, according to new data published by the Spanish Notary. There were 383,987 property sales to non-Spanish buyers last year, a growth of 12.9%, year-on-year, to represent an additional 76,780 transactions.
Positive forecasts for the number of home sales in Spain in 2016 have been made by big corporate consultants KPMG, PwC and Deloitte at a recent conference.
