Just over 23% of all international tourists visiting Spain in June came from the UK, with over a quarter staying in Andalucia, new figures show. The latest tourism figures (released in June) show a year-on-year rise of 3.2% in foreign visitor numbers, following the first decline in nine months from the month before.
The UK supplied 22.7% of all foreign visitors in Spain during the month of October, new government data shows. From January to October, a total of 73.86 million foreign tourists have visited Spain, representing a 0.5% increase from the same period last year; the UK accounted for 16.7 million tourists during this time.
The number of visitors coming to Spain from Italy and Portugal rose by double digits in September while the top two markets shrunk.
