BENAHAVIS

Benahavis stretches across the foothills of the mountain range and is shaped by three rivers, Guadaiza, Guadalmina and Guadalmedina each forming its own valley. It is one of the most mountainous areas of the Western Costa del Sol, 500 meters above sea level and 7 kilometers inland.

Located just 1 km north of Puerto Banus is Nueva Andalucia or Golf Valley. It is one of the largest and most exclusive areas on Costa del Sol with a superb infrastructure and carefully maintained streets with luxury homes only minutes from sandy beaches.

Nueva Andalucia is based on traditional Andalusian architecture and design for the majority of villas and apartments, the area has a village feel whilst being surrounded by stunning scenery and a backdrop of mountains.

There are several golf courses within Nueva Andalucia ,La Quinta, Los Naranjos, Las Brisas, Aloha Golf and La Dama de Noche, which is floodlit for night time play.

MARBELLA

Marbella is known around the world as a luxurious and beautiful destination. Located just 45 minutes from Malaga airport Marbella is easily accessible, cosmopolitan city with a mixture of International residents and wealthy expatriates from all over Europe.

Marbella is rich in history, and was heavily influenced by the Moorish occupation of the coast of nearly 800 years. The Moors primarily settled in the southern region of Spain, which is known today as Andalucía. They left behind breathtaking monuments that are definitely worth a visit. In Marbella’s old town, Casco Antiguo, are the famous castle walls Murallas del Castillo. A large Roman community once thrived here and were responsible for building recently discovered historic monuments such as La Muralla and Los Tres Capiteles Jónicos.

The old town is a maze of tiny streets filled with rich history and is divided into two mayor areas, el Barrio Alto and el Barrio Nuevo. Perhaps one of the most visited parts of Marbella’s old town is Orange Square, La Plaza de los Naranjos, named after the orange trees that grow around the fountain in the square which was built in 1604. This square is also home to the original town hall, built in 1572. The old town is full of restaurants, bars and boutique shops.

The coast around Marbella offers a good variety of beaches all of which have good facilities, plenty of beach bars and parking. Marbella is home to beach clubs famous for their champagne parties. Nikki Beach is located within the grounds of the Hotel Don Carlos and is renowned for its summer party season. Ocean Club, the urban style Puerto Banús beach club is known for its parties and large sea water pool. Both offer good dining, sunbathing and club facilities. For a more relaxing atmosphere chiringuitos are beach restaurants where you can enjoy locally caught fresh fish.
